The Solstice Festival on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 is for friends and families to enjoy our area’s bike trails and the beauty that surrounds us as well as the promotion of a healthy, active lifestyle.
Kick off the Solstice Weekend with a Welcome Party at the Rest Lake Park Pavilion. Register, pick up your swag bag, meet other riders and enjoy appetizers and drinks on the porch.
Sunset Night Ride at Rest Lake Park. Bike lights will be given to all participants in the night ride, enjoy the new Mercer/Manitowish Loop. Return to Rest Lake Park for music, games, bonfire and s'mores.
The festival really gets into gear on Saturday with both fun rides and road rides. This year the road rides including a 14-mile Buswell Loop Ride, 29-mile Cranberry Ride, 50-mile Half Century Ride and 100-mile full Century Ride.
The 29, 50 and 100 mile road rides begin at the Manitowish Waters Community Center on Hwy 51 and run along beautiful, well-marked courses with rest stops and support. The new 14-mile Buswell Loop Ride will begin at Koller park with a rest stop located at the North Lakeland School.
The traditional Fun Ride will also begin at Koller Park and includes rest stops and activities at the Discovery Center, Camp Jorn YMCA and North Lakeland School. All rides end at Koller Park for a post ride meal and celebration with live music, food, beverages, activities and raffle.
